Telehealth Physiotherapy in Manchester: Accessible Care from Home
Telehealth physiotherapy offers a convenient and accessible way to receive treatment from the comfort of your home. It is especially beneficial for those in Manchester who live in remote areas, have mobility issues, or prefer the ease of online consultations.
What is Telehealth?
Telehealth enables healthcare services to be accessed digitally through a computer, tablet, or smartphone. With telehealth, you can consult with your physiotherapist online without needing to travel, making it an ideal solution for people in rural or remote areas, or those with mobility challenges. This also includes services like pelvic floor muscle physiotherapy, which can now be done in the privacy and comfort of your own home.
What to Expect from Your Consultation.
Your telehealth appointment will closely mirror an in-person visit:
Initial Discussion: You’ll begin by discussing your condition with your physiotherapist.
Assessment: You’ll describe your concerns, and your physiotherapist may ask you to perform certain movements to assess your condition via video.
Feedback: The physiotherapist will discuss their findings and provide advice on managing your condition, whether it’s knee pain or another issue.
Exercise Prescription: Exercises may be prescribed, which can be demonstrated via video or through an app recommended by your physiotherapist. This can include physiotherapy exercises for knee joint pain or other physiotherapy exercise therapy.
Ongoing Monitoring: Your physiotherapist will monitor your progress and adjust your treatment as necessary.
How to Connect with Your Physiotherapist: Connecting with your physiotherapist for a telehealth appointment is straightforward.
You may receive a link via email to join the online consultation. Ensure you have a device with a camera and microphone, a strong internet connection, and a quiet space where you can move around for the physiotherapist to assess your condition.
Safety and Privacy: Telehealth consultations are designed to be just as safe and secure as in-person visits.
Safety: Your physiotherapist will assess risks and may recommend a support person be present if needed. If telehealth isn’t suitable, they will advise against it.
Privacy: Your privacy is protected with the same standards as in a clinic. If your physiotherapist needs to record any part of the session, they will ask for your consent first.
Telehealth physiotherapy allows you to continue receiving treatment without interruption, making it a valuable option for many patients in Manchester. Whether you need private physiotherapy or are deciding between a chiropractor or physiotherapist, telehealth provides a flexible and effective solution.

Angel Lee2024-06-07initially I was going for a lymphatic drainage massage, but after speaking to Ali and he explained what the massage is really for and who would benefit to it, I decided to have a deep tissue sport massage instead as I do have a problem with my right leg during running and have pains lying in bed at night. Got to say it was well worth of the pain and the bruising during the session and afterwards. My leg pain at night time has definitely reduced and definitely noticing my right calf and hamstring are not as tight as it was when I was doing some stretching next day. Will go for an other session for my gluteus for sure, hopefully soon enough I can do a long distance run without any pain.Mark Josef Rapa2024-06-07Having read the positive reviews on Ali and seeing he is well qualified, I booked a sports physio-led massage/treatment with him at My Sports Injury. We chatted about my sports activities and injuries and developed a treatment plan. Given my lack of proper stretching and no previous treatments, there wouldn't be a quick fix. During our first session, Ali focused on addressing calf spasticity. Despite feeling sore for a couple of days, my calves have already loosened up, and my mobility has started to improve. Ali's friendly and makes you feel safe in the space, I was also confident that I was receiving excellent value for my money.nicholas gemmell2024-05-31Gave me some great advice. And my knee is better for it. Thank you! 😀Antonio Ambata2024-05-27Got an amazing sports massage with Ali Musa, it really helped with a lot of my backpain.Bratua Seimodei2024-05-27UPDATE: Dr Ali has been amazing with the follow up sessions. Wonderful improvements with my healing process. He gave me lots of advice on a home exercise regimen to follow which I did to amazing effects. Additionally, for a second treatment phase, he did a reset on my calves and just like the adductors, my muscles feel good and new. Ready to go. Of course will still need more sessions. But I’m happy so far. Definitely my permanent physio now. Working with Dr Ali Musa was incredible. Had a groin/adductor pain for over 6 months. In my initial assessment and treatment, he not only pin pointed the issue, but handled it so well that I got a huge relief. Noticeable difference and improvement and not something I was expecting from my first visit with him. Will be returning for follow up sessions. Wonderful wonderful experience.Mohammed Ahmed2024-05-23Superb Service by Ali Musa Attention to detail, listened to my problem, then made sure he targeted the troubling area and it has made a difference, very professional.. I recommend him, and will definitely be coming back.Nadya Amalia2024-05-22Had a very good experience with Sean Yao - he helped my husband who hurt his foot while we were traveling. He explained the cause systematically, provided analogies which made us understand easier, gave tips and tricks and massages exercise that we can try at home. Before we came, my husband can barely walk bcs his foot was swelling; after the session, the next day he can walk up to half day. So grateful that we met Sean who explained it calmly and did his work passionately!Ioana Balanescu2024-05-18Faiqa helped me with the lower back pain I was experiencing. She was really nice and explained everything well so I could understand how to overcome this going forward, suggesting essential stretches and helped me what the actual cause of it. It’s been a pleasure meeting her and really appreciate all the tips and explanations!Johnny Cleary2024-05-17Had a great experience with Ali, he was able to diagnose what was causing my pain (sciatica symptoms), assuage my fear that it was a serious spinal issue and tell me exactly what exercises i needed to do to get on the mend. Couldn't recomend more.Google rating score: 5.0 of 5, based on 453 reviews

We often get asked how our program addresses each person’s “unique” situation. It’s important to understand that the entire body works as a system, and the location of your pain is often not the root cause. Focusing only on the pain site will not deliver the long-term results you’re seeking. To truly recover, you need to address the root cause, or those symptoms will likely return.
In the MY Sports Membership Program, you will uncover the root cause of your “specific pain points” by challenging every area of your body with targeted exercises and movements. You’ll gain the tools to improve and strengthen those areas, restoring your entire body to its correct postural alignment. Whether you’re dealing with acute or chronic issues, our program will help you achieve lasting results by focusing on the whole body, not just the symptoms.
Absolutely! The MY Sports Programs are an investment in your long-term health. Whether you’re aiming to improve your posture, enhance your body awareness or build strength, flexibility and mobility, our approach can help you achieve those goals. This proven methodology empowers you to take control of your body’s health, ensuring you not only recover but thrive in the long run!
The majority of the exercises in the MY Sports Membership Programs can be performed with minimal equipment and without the need for a gym. Most of the time, just a few resistance bands will do! The essential and optional equipment needed for the program is listed below, but rest assured, it’s designed to be accessible to everyone.
Must-Have Equipment:
Lacrosse ball, tennis ball, or Rad Ball
Various resistance bands (recommended types are provided within the program)
Stick Mobility stick, or a 5-6′ plastic pvc pipe, wooden dowel, or broomstick for feedback and alignment
A mirror or camera to observe your body movements
Optional Equipment:
Foam Roller
Yoga mat
Yoga block
Weight bench
Foam pad
Dumbbells/ kettlebells / triggerpoint balls / tennis balls.
These tools will help ensure you get the most out of the exercises while enhancing your strength, mobility, and body alignment!
The MY Sports programs empowers you with the knowledge and tools to address most issues in your body without relying on specialists or trainers. While seeing specialists a few times a week may help, our goal is to give you access to the tools you need anytime, By learning to assess and address your imbalances, you’ll have a massive impact on how your body feels and moves, both during exercise and in daily life.
Understanding why you’ve developed certain misalignments or imbalances is the first step toward achieving the transformation you seek.
We recommend dedicating at least 30 minutes per day to practicing the movements and exercises in the program. If you have more time, feel free to more! The program is self-paced, allowing you to integrate it into your busy schedule with ease or in the comfort of your home.
It’s also important to remember that the exercises you’ll be learning are highly relevant to your daily life. This means you’ll be able to practice these movements throughout your day, not just in a gym setting! Consistently applying what you learn will result in lasting improvements that support your health and well-being to live pain free.
